Logitech presents thinest keyboard ever made

Logitech announced yesterday amongst a set of other keyboards, its latest product : the Illuminated keyboard ( pictured on the left), the thinnest keyboard ever made - measuring only 9.3 mm in thickness .

Amongst its features we can spot an adjustable back light, soft-touch palm rest and dedicated multimedia keys.

Priced at only $80, this keyboard has been announced to launch in October and we love it.

I for one, have been a Logitech fan ever since I was a gamer - back in those days, everything Logitech was the ultimate gaming gear - at least for me.

Eco friendly PC from Tangent - the Evergreen 17

We’ve seen an eco-friendly cellphone and a water powered clock but we’ve never talked about an eco-friendly PC that promises an “industry-leading power efficiency at 24-watts”.

While we’ve already gotten used to the fact that almost every eco-friendly gadget holds it’s beauty in the inside, I’ve got to say this one’s looking pretty good on the outside as well.

Under the hood, you’ll find a fanless 1GHz VIA Eden processor, an optional SSD with a capacity of up to 64GB, up to 2GB of RAM and an Ethernet port. Oh, did we mention it has a touch friendly display ? I guess we didn’t…

The unit weighs in at 15.8-pounds and measures 2.25-inches deep, and will cost you quite a bit more than other basic desktops at $1,195 (and up) - but I guess it’s worth it if you want to save the Earth.

Top 5 cellphones of this month

This month has been a really busy one considering the amount of cellphones that have been launched, some of them focus on design, some on offering state of the art tech specs while some focus mostly on usability and target a certain audience. We’ll let you decide which one offers the best combination between design, usability and tech specs :

1) LG’s KC910

A cool looking phone, that integrates a 8MP camera, Bluetooth, WiFi, TV output and built-in GPS.

2) HTC S740

HTC has always been a company that has delivered good quality products. Combining almost perfectly a great design with smartphone features, a 3.2Mp camera, a QWERTY sliding keyboard, WiFi and built-in GPS.

3) Nokia N96

I personally have always been a fan of Nokia phones, it’s something like a cult I think. Once you’ve gone Nokia, you can’t really go back. The N96 designers seem to have learned from N95’s mistakes and have made things better. With a better looking design, a 5MP auto-focus camera, 16GB of internal storage, WiFi and assisted GPS this phone kicks-ass, literally.

4) Sony Ericsson C902

Have you always been a fan of James Bond movies ? I for one can’t say I’ve been, but I’ve always loved the gadgets Bond flashes before our eyes in every movie. With nothing out of the ordinary regarding tech specs, this phone features a 5MP camera and a theme inspired by the 007.

5) Verizon’s TXT8010

A phone that’s not giving too much to gadget enthusiasts, photography enthusiasts or design savvy people. It’s strongest point is the fact it’s only priced at $70, comes with a 1.3MP camera, a sliding QWERTY keyboard and that’s about it. Oh, did we mention it’s meant for the teens ?

If you’ve seen a cellphone that you think it’s worth mentioned, let us know using the form below.

Folderix - the folder-shaped flash drive

Folderix flash driveIt looks like the creator of these amazingly looking flash drives is none other than Art Lebedev, the creator of the popular Optimus Maximus Keyboard - and it looks like the device is taking its role seriously in storing files, literally.

The body cover, or the folder-shaped casing is made out of aluminium and the logo is laser engraved - wickedly coolish.

Named Folderix, the flash drives comes in 4GB sizes and not so many colors to choose from, excluding the obvious yellow, we have : Blue and Purple. They’re available now at $55.47 a pop over at Lebedev’s shop.

Questionable ear buds - they look good

Did you know that the bacteria concentration in your ears when wearing ear buds or headphones is 7 times bigger ? That’s right, when wearing headphones the bacteria concentration in your ear boosts up to 700% - not really something you could brag about.

I guess that now you’re not wondering anymore why these ear buds are shaped like this. The unique shape serves multiple purposes, besides the fact they fit quite perfectly in your ear, they can also loop around your neck when you’re not using them anymore - this is, besides decreasing the 700% bacteria boost regular ear buds cause.

I can only regret they’re only a concept for now, but still would you wear them ?
