Mio fancies Knight Rider - creates a KITT voiced GPS
Well, we’ve written before about talking GPS navigation systems but this one’s a bit different. Apparently Mio has become a bit nostalgic and created a Knight Rider version of a GPS - barks out instructions with the popular KITT voice.
The device is available from Radio Shack for $269.99 for pre-order and will be officially launched on September the 24th.
Here are some of the tech specs for all of the enthusiasts out there:
- Features a 4.3″ TFT color LCD display with anti-glare touchscreen
- Includes a preloaded map of the U.S. and Canada, plus over 4 million points of interest (P.O.I.)
- Features the voice of K.I.T.T. (William Daniels) providing turn-by-turn voice guidance
- Knight Rider’s voice synthesizer lights move every time a navigation greeting or instruction’s given
- Unique interface design brings the look and feel of K.I.T.T. to your daily drive
- KITT recorded voice files includes 150+ male & 150+ female names to select from for the greeting
- Voice guidance comes in 16 languages, including English, French and Spanish
