Short overview of the cellphone

With Samsung’s Omnia success, it seems like everyone’s taking shots at it - including Asus. According to some well rumored sources, this might be Samsung’s biggest challenger, featuring a 5MP camera and a 3.5″ touchscreen display that can render anything at a 800×480 resolution.

From what I could tell from some leaked photos, the cellphone seemed to have a front camera as well, leaving me with the thought it might also feature 3G connectivity.

The design part is pretty impressive, featuring an outer-casing made out of stainless steel and a monochromatic minimalist design. Regarding the tech specs, the word is that the cellphone is going to have a 4GB internal memory - with expansion possibility via a microSD card - and all the wireless connectivity you can think of ( WiFi, Bluetooth, aGPS ), all incorporated into a 13,8mm thick cellphone.

Oh, did I mention it also includes an Accelerometer ? I wouldn’t be surprised to see some of Apple’s iPhone functionality amongst it’s features.

Technical specifications

  • GSM Connectivity : GPRS/EDGE/3G/HSDPA/HAUPA
  • GSM Frequency : 850/900/1800/1900

Questionable ear buds - they look good

Did you know that the bacteria concentration in your ears when wearing ear buds or headphones is 7 times bigger ? That’s right, when wearing headphones the bacteria concentration in your ear boosts up to 700% - not really something you could brag about.

I guess that now you’re not wondering anymore why these ear buds are shaped like this. The unique shape serves multiple purposes, besides the fact they fit quite perfectly in your ear, they can also loop around your neck when you’re not using them anymore - this is, besides decreasing the 700% bacteria boost regular ear buds cause.

I can only regret they’re only a concept for now, but still would you wear them ?

Mobile microwave - he cooks while you drive

Fancy a quick snack on your way to work ? Then look no further, your problems have come to an end - we present the In-Car Microwave Oven. While priced at $167, this mobile cooking machine is made out  of robust steel and can be powered by your cigarette lighter socket or directly by the car battery at 12V. Other than the obvious, this bulky Microwave oven boasts a LED screen with touchscreen operations - which is way cool for an In-Car cooking machine.

The main disadvantage of this steel chef is that it takes a bit longer to heat up the food, because it’s only powered by a 12V battery. According to Gizmodo, warming up a coup of coffee will take around 6 minutes - not very impressive, but it’s still a better option than those roadside dinning options.

Osim Nioi scent alarm clock

Osim Nioi Scent alarm clock pictureGetting tired of being woken up in the morning by head pounding alarms ? We’ve got the solution - the Osim Nioi scent clock. While we’re not entirely sure this device wouldn’t be more suitable as an appetite arouser than a clock I have to admit it’s got me drooling. Featuring a not-so-unique concept this gizmo will use your favorite scent to wake you up in the morning - ranging from freshly baked bread to anything your imagination can ‘cook up’.

How can this be, you may ask ? It’s this simple - your favorite scent will come ‘bottled’ up in a small container which will be placed in it’s corresponding place inside the clock. No word on the price just yet.

T-box gaming keyboard concept

T-box concept gaming keyboard picture

As an ex-gamer I can say that I would never buy such a keyboard. Why ? the reason is simple - gamers are used to default keyboards and removing some keys from it makes it even harder to get used to it. The design is pretty attractive though - designed by Hakan Bogazpinar - and it seems it also comes with an USB port which can be spotted on the right side of the keyboard, it’s made out of several layers and it’s said to improve your gaming performance by removing all the unnecessary keys.

Quote from Tuvie :

Are you crazy about playing each and every game that enters the gaming market? So, this product is surely for you because it can speed up the way you play games. Check out this new gaming keyboard with new attractive design. It is very small in size and has only those keys which are required to play your games. It is shaped in a way so that you feel very comfortable while playing.
