The latest iPhone replica - Plica

iPhone latest replica PlicaSince the launch of the oh so popular iPhone we have also witnessed how along the time, many companies have tried to replicate the iPhone - more or less successful, but still no one has beaten or will the popularity of the iPhone - and still they try. This time, it looks like the iPhone has a serious competitor - the new Plica phone. A phone that doesn’t have just one touchscreen it has two of them. Apparently this idea belonged to designer James Piatt and although the phone is just a concept idea for now it seems like they’re going for it.

There’s not too much we can say about this phone at the time being considering it’s only a concept for now, except that it looks like a wallet ( or small-sized purse ) when it’s closed. It features two touchscreen displays which are really cool in a way because you can use one as your “touchboard” and use the other to view things.

Asus reveals the Eee box

Asus Eee PC pictureAfter the already so hyped announcement of their Eee PC 901, Asus unveiled their latest product - the Eee box. At a first glance you can notice it’s quite about the same size as the Eee PC 901, it weights about 1 KG ( half of what the Eee PC 901 weights). It will come bundled with Intel’s Atom processor clocked at 1.6GHz, 802.11 WiFi, ExpressGate ( 7 second startup), 80GB HDD, 1GB RAM and powered by Windows XP Home editon.

According to Asus, the Eee box is announced to be released to the public in about 4-5 weeks at the small price of $429.

Saved by the anti sleep driving alarm

Anti Sleeping driving alarm pictureIt always happens to us, and surely it happened to you: new games launched, no family around, and you hit the keys, for hours and hours without stopping. Most certainly, you will end up falling asleep. But, instead of quitting your session and hitting the sack, we have a better idea. The all new Anti Sleep Driving Alarm.

Even though it was originally designed for long distance truck drivers, we think it will work just as fine for your cause too. It works by detecting when the head tilts more than 30 degrees and emits a very annoying high-pitched alarm. This puts you right back to work, though we strongly suggest you not to abuse this gadget - it might hurt your ears or your nerves.

Top 5 Completely Undeveloped Nifty Concepts

This year we’ve seen a lot of concepts presented and I felt like that it would be a total waste not to have the top 5 coolest concepts presented in one place. Ranging from architectural ideas to concept cars this article will present the hottest concepts of this year.

I for one think that these concepts always represent a step forward for humanity - to many people, these ideas may seem like crazy but for me the people that had them look like visionaries.

Not few were the cases where people had “crazy” ideas that changed the way we live or have brought innovations in our life.

Smallest Pocket projector

Smalles pocket pc projector pictureWell it was about to happen one day - Mint Wireless, an Australian company, just announced their latest product - the Mint V10 projector - the smallest and toughest of them all. According to official sources, the projector is revolutionary amongst it’s predecessors - there’s no need to warm it up before starting the presentation, it literally fits in your jeans pocket, can project a 50″ image from 1.8 metres away and the LED lamp is supposed to be good for 20,000 hours of projection. The Taiwanese company Aiptek also said that this little gizmo can be partnered with almost anything, from a DVD player to a PS3.

The Li-ion battery it comes packed with will supply you with about an hour worth of viewing time at a decent 640×480 resolution ( 4:3 aspect ratio ). It also comes with a SD card slot memory ( an add-on to the already existing 1GB internal memory ) and built-in speakers.
Given the fact it’s so darn small and at the same time packed with tons of features the $650 price doesn’t seem like much of a burden for this small baby.
