BENQ MID Aries2 launches this quarter

Benq Mid Aries2 pictureThe BENQ MID Aries2 is a follow-up to the former BENQ MID announced nearly a year ago and officially launched in February this year and I must say it’s looking quite good. Although the photo looks like it’s been Photoshoped at least a bit because of the 3D feel it still looks amazing - I’d be satisfied if it looked 70% this good in the stores. The Aries2 features a 4.8″ display and has been announced to launch in Europe this quarter and unfortunately the price hasn’t been announced yet. According to some official sources, the Aries2 has won the IDEA 2008 award IDEA 2008 award for “offering end-consumers a most intuitive mobile Internet surfing experience.”

Memorex Essential TravelDrives pictureWell, at least now we know why they call them “essential” - these TravelDrives come packed only with the bare necessities, meaning : 2.5″ HDD that can come in 160GB, 250GB or 320GB size, a USB 2.0 port and a standard flashing LED. The TravelDrive comes in several colors like : Spring Blossom, Tropic Green, Caribbean Blue or Cool Silver and is priced at around $89.99 - which sounds like a pretty good deal considering the specs.

Pulse SmartPen from LiveScribe

At last, the old pen and pencil that students get blisters from while taking notes is here. It’s called Pulse SmartPen and it’s here to revolutionize the way notes are taken.

It is very similar to any regular ball pen, but the innovation from LiveScribe lies in the additional audio recording. The movements are recorded onto an internal memory along with the audio track. You can later connect it to a computer and store your notes for archival, or to search something you noted months ago.

All in all, it’s a pretty good piece of kit that no mind wandering student shouldn’t have.

T-box gaming keyboard concept

T-box concept gaming keyboard picture

As an ex-gamer I can say that I would never buy such a keyboard. Why ? the reason is simple - gamers are used to default keyboards and removing some keys from it makes it even harder to get used to it. The design is pretty attractive though - designed by Hakan Bogazpinar - and it seems it also comes with an USB port which can be spotted on the right side of the keyboard, it’s made out of several layers and it’s said to improve your gaming performance by removing all the unnecessary keys.

Quote from Tuvie :

Are you crazy about playing each and every game that enters the gaming market? So, this product is surely for you because it can speed up the way you play games. Check out this new gaming keyboard with new attractive design. It is very small in size and has only those keys which are required to play your games. It is shaped in a way so that you feel very comfortable while playing.
