IdeaPad U8 from Lenovo shows up at Beijing games

IdeaPad U8 from Lenovo pictureThere you have it, as promised, the IdeaPad U8 has been delivered to the public by Lenovo, at the Olympic Games. Although some of you got a sneak-view at it a few months ago, now it’s official.

Featuring a 4.8″ touchscreen display, the IdeaPad U8 packs under it’s hood a sub-3 watt processor from Intel - from the Atom class - up to 2GB memory and 6GB flash storage.

Other than that, it also features 802.11b/g WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, EDGE data and China-specific TD-SCDMA 3G.

Measuring only 21 x 173 x 84-mm and weighting only 350 grams this gizmo is more than pleasing and would be a nice acquisition for a tech loving geek like you or anyone else out there.

iPhone 3G gets 6x zoom power with Brando Telescope

iPhone 3g Brando Telescope pictureWhy ? Why would anyone do such a thing ? I for one can’t think of any reason why one would do such a thing.

While the iPhone has never been appraised for it’s image quality but mostly for the design and innovative features it seems like Brando thinks otherwise.

Unfortunately, the rear mounted telescope doesn’t bring too much to the iPhone other than $19 less in your pocket.

Here’s what Brando thinks about their newest product :

The new design to run of rays can effectively avoid the contortion of image, and makes the super wide angle, the larger luminous flux, the higher visual acuteness, good for color reduction, which makes the high quality of photography.

We can’t agree with that unfortunately and I’m sure that no one could.

Mobile microwave - he cooks while you drive

Fancy a quick snack on your way to work ? Then look no further, your problems have come to an end - we present the In-Car Microwave Oven. While priced at $167, this mobile cooking machine is made out  of robust steel and can be powered by your cigarette lighter socket or directly by the car battery at 12V. Other than the obvious, this bulky Microwave oven boasts a LED screen with touchscreen operations - which is way cool for an In-Car cooking machine.

The main disadvantage of this steel chef is that it takes a bit longer to heat up the food, because it’s only powered by a 12V battery. According to Gizmodo, warming up a coup of coffee will take around 6 minutes - not very impressive, but it’s still a better option than those roadside dinning options.
